Need a new machine, budget €600 - €800

Looking to get a new laptop as a Christmas present. Would like to keep it as close to €600 as possible but would go as high as 800 for something special. It'll be used for games as well as college work so portability is a massive plus. I've had a look at a few others recommend on here but can't seem to find a compromise…

If you're not in a particular hurry, I'd wait a few days until the ASUS K56CM arrives.

Argos is selling the K56CA (Intel HD 4000 instead of GT 635M) with the Core i5 ULV for €540. A slim and robust laptop with decent battery life and which is not too heavy (2.3 kg). Seems like a winner.
