My community nurse recommended I put my little man in a playschool for a few hours a week. I do not know Ennis at all. I was looking at Nuture Care but the only one in Ennis as far as I can tell is for Civil Service Workers only and I am not sure of what is out.

I do not know Ennis too well. What kind of pre schools are people using? What are they like? How many kids there? What kind of services do they provide?

Unfortunately, I can't recommend a pre-school in Ennis to you as my little one attended pre-school in East Clare.

However, I'd recommend that you phone or call into the Clare County Childcare Committee, I have found them extremely helpful in the past.
The Clare County Childcare Committee is committed to providing helpful, comprehensive and current best practice information on all forms of childcare within Clare.

We provide an intrinsic support system which has been put in place to continue the underpinning of county wide local networks and support agencies dealing with all forms of childcare in the Mid-West Region. The staff aim to provide a comprehensive service that specialises in resourcing and providing information on all aspects of childcare.

    Clare County Childcare Committee
    Office Address:
    1 Kilrush Road
    Ennis,
    Co Clare

Opening Hours: 9am-5pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 4pm Friday. (The office is closed daily for lunch from 1-2pm).

I've attached a link with contact details of all registered pre-schools in Ennis/Clare.

Theres a Montesorri school at Woodhaven on the Kilrush Rd. My g/son attends there & I'm happy with it. The Holy family school near Dunnes Store take in very small kids. lovely staff & small classes

Woodhaven is great. My son went there and loved it. One thing to note, there is a huge waiting list for playschools in Ennis so you need to ring ASAP if you want to get them in.
