Abolition of multiples' child benefit

Anyone else read the article in the Times 31 Oct re state abolishing the special benefit given to twin/multiple parents? We were really really counting on this to help us out with childcare :( Its looking likely it will be passed

they better not cut that or I am going to write to them every day and do all my shopping in Northern Ireland. Why should parents of multiples who have no clothes to pass down get €140 less per month. or €210 less with triplets.

Have they any idea how hard it is to bring up twins?
