Quick one, I have a 10gb data extra with Vodafone. Could I use my Galaxy Note 2 as a Wifi hot spot for my tablet without incurring additional charges or will the phone rat me out to Vodafone forcing me to get the tethering add on instead?

i think vodafone do charge unless you are on a certain package alright.
i dunno how they detect you are tethering... thats vodafone for you.
as far as i know they are now the only ones charging for it

While VF pissed me off in many ways leading me to switch recently, they didn't charge for tethering on Android.

At one stage they charged for tethering on iphones but I think that's gone too.
