    Hey,

I have applied for my full licence and had to give my learners permit in, so does anyone know if its okay for me to drive, I mean if I'm stopped will saying that my licence has been applied for hold up?

I have my log book and bank cards and stuff but no other photo ID.

    Thanks

You show them the receipt from the motor office.

Could you guys, please, lend me a hand? I just lost my license. It vanished into thin air and I got no clue, where to look for it. However, I have to keep commuting every day, as public transport is rather poor in my area. So, do I have to apply for a temporary permit of any sort?

I'm asking, as I'm afraid about what might happen, when I get stopped by the cops. What's the fine then? Would they take any legal action against me?

Technically they can prosecute you for failing to produce your licence on demand or failing to produce it within 10 days.
However if you apply for a replacement and keep the receipt on you as evidence then almost certainly nothing will come of it.

When any officer required receipt then you can show them...

You are extremely unlikely to be stopped anyway, at least from my experience. If you do, it's not like in America where they say "Sir could you step out of the vehicle please and keep your hands where I can see them?" "Sir I am not seeing those hands".... BZzzzZZzzzZZZzzzzz...

@SuperInfinity - anyways, it's better to remain on the safe side. I asked just in case that happens to me. ;)
