    Hi guys

I am looking for completely sound proof ear muffs to block out all noise. i use the internet in the library a lot and it is not very quite. anyways this being a music section i thought that maybe someone has an idea. i have the bog standard war muffs and they reduce noise to an extent however if there is such a thing as absolute sound proof ear muffs this would be great thanks.

ps i would rather not use ear plugs if possible

Well you try earplugs, and then muffs.

But you'll always hear something - even if it's just your ears creating noise.

Why not try listening to gentle classical music on ear buds. Something to block out the background noise.

To block out everything i listen to white noise on headphones/earbuds - It blocks out pretty much anything as it covers a wide band of frequencies. Really soothing to goto sleep to - but not sure of the damage it could be doing!

Active noise-cancelling earphones/headphones playing a 'silent' track on a continuous loop?

Peltor ear defenders- I think B&Q sell them. You'll look like a workman on site, but it definitely will be quiet.
