Selling Macbook with Mountain Lion

    I have a Macbook with mountain lion installed but onl have Snow Leopard install disks
    Can I reformat the hard drive and install Mountain lion from my Apple ID and then logout of my Apple account and sell the computer or do I have to revert to Snow leopard which came with the computer
    I also have a iMac which I will be keeping
