    Budget: €1500ish

Intended use: Mainly gaming, college, and general use.

Mobility: Preferably a 15.6", will also go up to 17.3" if you can find something better.

    Warranty: Basic.

What Operating System do you use? Win 7 64Bit HP.

Had a look at MYSN.de which includes the OS and here's what I came up with, not too sure about the processor just figured i7 is better, also no idea about the SSD, recommend anything that could be changed, thanks :) Or any other makes/models. Aesthetics aren't important.

    XMG A522

    Display - 15.6" 1080p Non-Glare
    GFX - GTX 660M 2048MB GDDR5
    CPU - i7 3632QM
    RAM - 2 X 8192 1600Mhz
    SSD - 256GB SATA III Crucial M4
    UK English Keyboard
    Win 7 HP 64bit
Everything else is left as default.
    Total Price - €1410.00.

    Thanks.

    If I buy a gaming laptop for €1,500 I wouldn't settle for a mid-range GPU like the GTX 660M.

Check the Vortex III configurator (PCS is using Clevo chassis like Schenker), you'll get a GTX 675M and a faster processor for €1,500 (£1,201) delivered.

tbh cant see gaming on 15.6" screen , ill say windows solitaire only ... for gaming get Alienware laptop with minimum 17" led screen ..
    or
cheap laptop for school plus decent PC for gaming..
    laptop + gaming = epic fail :)

You would struggle to game on a 660m . You would expect to see that gpu in a cheaper laptop and its only mid range . Try going for a higher series

Don't buy alien ware they are over priced , you could build a better Pc yourself and for cheaper

I wouldn't say that, please expnd on why.

Gaming on a 15'6 screen is crap. A laptop any larger than that is a pain in the arse to carry, and is still a compromise.

A well specced desktop for gaming, and a decent laptop for colllege work is a better value solution, and you end up with two PC's.

Alienware was probably a poor suggestion, but the idea is a good one.

well, the only clueless person here are you mate, did you ever try to play Battlefield 3 or BC2 on 15" screen?? probably not ...next thing is gpu performance: all mobile gpu's has 'lowered' performance due to cooling problems ... better cpu doesn't really mater for games using extensive 3d graphics
about Alienware: its a bit overpriced - fact but models with 17" screen and SLI gpu's are more likely build for gaming than others... i'm sure of it as i had one of these for long time ...
    so finally,
if you haven't a clue about stop trolling

The difference between the 15.6" Torqay posted and for a similar spec'd 17.3" Alienware is €800 lol... And yea I know having a custom built PC is way better but he wants a laptop.

Edit: Changing the Vortex to 17.3" gives a difference of €600ish.

..Alienware was an idea only mate as their builds are for gaming and of course youll get 'similar' specs no-name for cheaper but..cheaper always mean lower quality :)

100% true, mean overall quality: product itself and after sale customer care

Not true in almost all cases if you are to use alienware as an example (dell)

You have to pay for their better after sales service.

More expensive does not mean better quality components are used. For the OP's 1500 euro they could go and get a way better laptop only thing missing is the "ohh look at my laptop" case around it.
