Forest road grant....

    Going to plant a few acres of forestry before xmas.....will i be able to attain the forest road grant (45mtr)at time of plantation or is it just at harvest or thinning that this grant can be drawn down? need about 100 metres of access road to reach the plantation area.....& ....how wide does this road have to be? as i dont want it taking up too wide an area along a hedgerow......

    Forest Road Grants have become as scarce as Hens' teeth. You will DEFINITELY not get draw-down/cash until the last minute under current regs. Try to get a committment now (In writing!) that gives you what you need before you plant!
