Hi all, well my t.v. is kaput and I need a new one for my room. Will I need a saorview box with this (the main t.v. in the living room is Saorview ready and didn't need a saorview box)http://www.argos.ie/static/Product/partNumber/5299603/c_1/1%7Ccategory_root%7CEntertainment%7C14419512/c_2/3%7Ccat_19780832%7CTelevisions%7C14419667.htm

It says in the product description that it has a "Integrated Saorview digital tuner".

What is the model number of the TV?

There is a saorview approved Alba 22" TV/DVD on the saorview site:
    http://www.saorview.ie/product/alba/

    Model no: ASELLKDVD2288

If the model number number matches, then it is definitely approved and will work.

I have checked that out on the Argos website (linked from the Saorview link) and I can't see any reference to the model number on the Argos site. but the special features say "Integrated Saorview Digital Tuner"

I suppose I can ask them also at Argos when I get there (they will no doubt have the information)

Well every Argos that I've checked near me seems to be out of stock, so I will try Harvey Norman maybe in Cork

I can assure you they won't.

I e-mailed Argos 3 times about a Bush TV they claimed had a DAB tuner, and they assured me each time it did. It did not however. In fact I don't know of any TV that includes DAB.
