If my partner is working and I am unemployed, only entitled to a very small partial welfare payment as partner is working, will I get the full training allowance (€188 per week) if I do a full time FAS course?

I rang fas, they told me to ring welfare-they wont answer the phone:(

yes if you are over the age of 18

    and extra for travel allowance

great- are you sure about this- the fas website says that you will only receive the training allowance if you are entitles to JSA/JSB, and if you are not, the no allowance will be paid.

Going on that, someone entitles to a JSA allowance of €6 per week will get 188 p.w on a FAS course and someone else that is not entitles to any JSA/JSB will get no payment on a FAS course..

Sorry, but you will only be paid for by FAS what you were entitled to on social welfare.

Also, the extra €20/week is only if you have been signing on for 312 days or more.
