I was there around this time last year. Accommodation worked out at around €150 for 7 nights self catering which is nothing really.

Easiest way to do it would be to try lowcostholidays.ie or ebookers or a similar site and do a search for hotel only in Gran Canaria with your dates and book from there.

thanks for your reply. do you mind me asking who you booked through.
Cant seem to get anything under 320Euro for self catering- this is a bit above our budget

Sorry only seen this now. I went with lowcostholidays.
Is it for 2 people or more?
How long is your stay for?
    Are you booking hotel only?

We went to Duna Beach Bungalows. It's a little out of the way but taxis are really cheap.
It's nice for a quiet holiday and absolutely spotless. Only drawback was the food but you're better off going to a proper restaurant anyway as the prices are more or less the same. For what you pay for I would definitely recommend it.
