    Hi,

I'm in the flight path to baldonnel - no probs there. I notice last night and today that the CASA altitude is much lower than normal - last night i could nearly see the pilot! Any ideas why this would be.

    Thanks in Advance

    Conor

That was a four engined Hercules I think... Seems lower 'cause it's bigger and louder.

    Thanks for That!

I just looked at a pic of the latter - you could be right. Actually I was the noise that made me look out in the first place - unreal.
    One more.....
The plane that leaves bright and early, has radar/sonar equip stuck to the under and nose - whats that?

The ramp is open in that picture, is that unusual? I thought they only used it to drop life rafts

Fixed your post. Ramp is open whenever they want.
