Kinect minority report style UI. Realistic to implement?

    Was looking at getting a Kinect to play with, and hopefully control windows in some limited way.

    Is it possible for an intermediate-to-advanced hacker :pac:to do this with an "xBox" Kinect, rather than the more expensive Kinect designed to work with PCs?


    Would I be better off getting an Asus Xtion at £135stg (60fps versus 30fps for the kinect, and USB-powered versus the Kinect power brick)?

    Or wait for the Leap?
