    hey lads,

i bought a few mountain sheep today , im lookin at a charlaois ram and a belclare ram
which would be the better ram to put with them ?
would the charlaois be able to produce twin lambs ?
would the charlaois be easy to fatten ?
do the charlaois and belclare produce lambs without horns when crossed with horned sheep ?
would belclare x mountain be hard to fatten compared to a charlaois x mountain ?

thanks ... all info is much appricated

    Hi Cloonlara,

Belclare is a maternal breed, Charolais is terminal.
So do you want to breed ewe lambs to keep, or all lambs for meat? If its the latter, then I would imagine Charolais would be better?
