I have my Galaxy s3 for about a month, and love it. The only issue I have with it is the battery life. I had the original Galaxy and never had a problem as I was generally light enough on usage. I'm using the new phone a lot more and it's really an issue. I've now invested a tenner in a new generic battery that is 4500 mAh rated and as its thicker, it comes with a new rear cover included. Other things on the plus side are that the phone is marginally heavier but is actually nicer to hold....felt it was to thin and slippery before. Negatives....can't find a case to fit it So far so good, no explosions and much improved life ( it's early days though ). Anybody had any experience of these sorts of battery generally....don't want to mention the name as I'm not advertising for them

Personally i would'nt put a €10 spurious battery in a phone that costs the guts of €600. Vodafone shops were doing a good deal on a genuine Samsung accesories pack a few months ago. There was a spare battery with its charger, 2 gel covers and one flip cover for €40. Very handy to have a spare battery in your pocket if needed

There was a thread here on a "Gold" battery for a Samsung S2 and the op of that thread, bought it from eBay. From a seller in the UK called ecell. The thread also discussed Mugen batteries, which was also positive

Personally I've used the "Gold" batteries in my S2 and only recently got one for my S3 and I'm seeing a big improvement so far.
The only weird thing is you need to use the battery straight away, let it drain to 5-10% then charge for over 12 hours. Then do your next charges when it is at 5-10% for over 6 hours.
