car park damage

At the weekend i had my car slightly damaged in a car park (rear bumper scratched and popped out a little at the top). I was right there and when the woman who did it tried to deny it i called the guards. She changed her tune once they arrived and i got photos of my blue paint all over her silver bumper. The upshot is she agreed to pay and keep it off her insurance.

So how does this work? I rang the dealer i got the car from who would have the appropriate paint etc and they said to assess the damage is €65 up front (refundable once i have them carry out the repair work). Do i pay that myself and then ask for it back off her? In this case, what if she refuses to pay? I also don't really have the €65 right now anyway. Could I get them to call her and arrange payment? Any help/advice appreciated.

Just put it straight through her insurance, and have all work done at a dealers. Anyone that tried to deny it in the first place isn't going to be upfront and agree to paying main dealer prices.

Any body shop would have access to the correct paint, the dealer will probably only act as a middle man.

Had some stupid bint hop her door off the passanger side of my car while i was sat in it on the phone, there was loads of space.

It hit so hard the car shook and she just got in and sped off even though i was calling her back.

Nice big scratch for my trouble but no bodywork damage i can see (im still in work) got her reg regardless, will access damage in abit.

As challengemaster says, let the insurance co handle this one. You'd be a fool to deal with her directly.

Let your own insurance company know. I think that You are obliged to inform them. Tell them that she has admitted liability And give them the guards name.
They will contact her insurance company, who give her the option to settle the claim privately.
If you wait for her you could be waiting a long long time.
    Best of luck.

Cheers for the advice, everyone. I rang my insurance and logged the incident with them. Got a direct line number to someone who can help me out if she refuses to pay herself.

And ship it out to the cheapest bidder. I'd find a good bodyshop rather than go to a dealer.

Update: The dealer is doing the work themselves.
