    Hi folks,

    Anyone got any experience of dealing with these guys: www.markettrendsignal.com (no affiliation)? I've signed up for a year to their trend signals alerts for $99 last week but they are now pushing for me to sign up to a mentoring system were they guarantee that within 3-6 months, I will have enough profit to cover the cost of the mentoring (which ranges from $4k to $12k) and if not, they will cover the difference.

    I am not about to be easily parted with my cash, but I'd just like to know if anyone has used them before and how they found them to deal with? They seem to have been around since 2009, but I cannot find much in the way of 3rd party reviews.

    Unless I got a very positive review from someone that had used it successfully I'd be very sceptical about handing them over that sort of money.

    Don't worry, I'm certainly not going to be giving them any cash until I can get some independent reviews.

    From their site:

    "How do you calculate your signals?

    Signals are based on our proprietary indicator of price trend. It combines 6 or 7 technical indicators into a more useful format"

    You'd be absolutely mad to give them ANY money, let alone 4-12k for a mentor. As a beginner you may learn a few things but not worth the money. You'd be much better off just going and buying (or downloading) some books on TA. You'll learn a lot more. Their program picks stock by using a screener , which searches for stocks with predefined characteristics. But once you have learned a bit about TA yourself you can just use a program like prorealtime which will be a lot better and is free.
