Society seems to have developed a knack for deeming a once acceptable practice out of bounds in a short space of time.
The media loves a good bandwagon to hop on & even better when they're guaranteed to be on the winning side.
This long term focus of public attention gives politicians an unopposed home run and the world is a better place again.

Where next should we focus our vitriol ?, this new power is overwhelming.
    Obesity......
    Gender pay inequality.....
    Fox hunting......

So many choices, what would you like to see tackled/abolished next ?.

Considering the funeral is today of a girl who committed suicide because of bullying, I would say no, bullying has not been 'dealt' with.

Putting 'celeb' in the same category as that belittles that girls suffering.

The public's attitude towards it has changed though.
People are still being killed by drunk drivers, drunk driving would have been acceptable in another age.
Both of these activities have now become completely taboo inside a generation.

I think this is what the OP meant. Nothing to do with Cheryl Cole or Katie Price.

Arggh.......... it's a cause célèbre not cause celeb.
It's got hardly anything to do with celebs, so why do people keep mentioning them.
    Google it please.

The government alcohol strategy seems to have died a death with the resignation of Roisin Shortall. It will probably be taxed to bejasus in the next budget, for our collective good, you understand.

Doubt they'll touch the booze, it's the only thing keeping the baying masses in check.

Since when was bulling once seen as acceptable, or drink driving for that matter? Bearing in mind two children in this state have committed suicide because of bullying in the last few months I can only consider this to be a very poor attempt at very hurtful trolling!

Bulling was not only acceptable but the objective of countless hours spent at dischos in my youth.

People used to accept bullying, said it was part of growing up, sorting the weak from the strong, make a man of you, etc.
This attitude has been completely turned on it's head in recent times.
    It's a fact, it's not trolling.
Any death caused by it is tragic, those who beat down on someone they know to be physiologically fragile should be tried for attempted murder imho.
