Max number fo weeks on JSB?

Assuming that all other qualifications are met what is the maximum number of weeks that Job Seekers Benefit is paid out for? Also, does availing of a redundancy scheme affect your rights to the JSB -like: delayed start date, reduced payments, shorter pay out period????
