Back boiler issues

    Hi all.
We heat our house with our back boiler as much as possible but the don't heat up completely. They are warm to hot at the top but cold in the middle or at the bottom. I have bled them but no change. Any ideas what I can do. I don't know much about where valves are so I'll need some detail where to find them. Oh and we're in a small 2 bed, 2 story house.
    Thanks

The issue will be one of five things.
    1. Sludge build up sitting in the bottom of the radiators. A common problem especially in solid fuel systems where pitching can be frequent. The only proper solution is a chemical powerflush.
    2. Circulation issue caused by either an incorrectly under-sized circulating pump or a worn out pump providing poor performance. Solution is to replace the pump with a correctly sized pump.
    3. Boiler output is under-sized for the demand from the system. Solution, upgrade the boiler or per-heat alternative source and use solid fuel to maintain the heated system.
    4. Poor fuel supply. Low kwh output fuels or wet fuels will release very low energy from them, especially high moisture content fuels. They will use the energy within them to burn off the moisture first.
    5. A multiple of the above!
