Mira Event XS Vs Vigour

In the process of replacing a Mira Event XS power shower and aside from the price tag had no complaints with it. Have found the Mira Vigour for about half the price (not the thermostatic versions) and according to the spec has a flow rate of 12 litres per min vs 14 litres per min with the Event.

Anyone with any experience of the Vigour shower - is there a noticeable difference between the two, is a 2 litre difference per min big?

Want to try to stick with the Mira as don't want to have to change the piping etc and very happy with the brand.

The Vigour is a very good version of the Event, no issues with them, the only reason Mira producd them was the cheaper altetnates were eating into their sales. You will not notice the 2lr differeance as the pump pressures are the same & infact share some internals as the Event.

I've bough a few vigours as replacement for the events- they seem fine.
Latest price I got was EUR 260 for the vigour and EUR650/485 for Thermostatic/Manual events - mad money apparently no one buys them.

Are the 3 wall screw hole fixings the same between event and vigour? The event has much nicer mira handset holder bar and a nicer design. I bought an event xs thermo off ebay for 350e and replaced tonight an old event but Im thinking in future to get the vigour and keep the old handset and bar section if it fits for 250e.

Vigour & event are pretty much the same shower. Neither one is brilliant. Both only come with a 12 months warranty. Every other power shower in Ireland comes with a 2, 3 or even 5 years warranty.

The price of the event is kept high as some people think the more expensive is a better shower. All of the main parts are called vigour/event parts. For the most part they are disposable showers. If the motor, cartridge etc fails & its 2 or 3 years old it's better value to replace the shower
