I bought a TV about 6 years ago and i can't get RTE now on digital. I can get BBC's ITV's, Channel 4 etc but not TV3 RTE1 or 2. Do i really need to pay €80 to get them? Is there a cheaper way. In France they only have to pay €20 for a box and the UK is the same. Why so expensive here?

It is not the same in UK or France the cheapest boxes in France and the UK are around €40. The boxes price range you are talking about are the old MPEG2 boxes (the reason you are not receiving the Irish stations nor the UK HD stations in the first place).

Presumably you are in a border area that you are receiving the UK stations off an aerial if so, one box will do all for you, its STG £29.

There is a thread above on this called i-can easy hd 2851t
