The wedding needs to be legal and recognised as such in the country where the wedding takes place. It doesn't really matter where the bride and groom come from.

The Pakistan embassy in Dublin may or may not give you advice on the matter, you could also try the Irish embassy in Pakistan but in both cases they may shy away from giving legal advice which by rights you need to obtain from a local lawyer.

Certificates of Freedom to marry (also known as 'Civil Letters of Freedom', "Certificates de Coutume" or "Certificates of Nulla Osta") which state that a person is not married, may be needed for marriage in some foreign countries. Irish citizens living in Ireland wishing to obtain such a Certificate should apply to the Consular Section of the Department of Foreign Affairs, 72/76 St. Stephen's Green, Dublin 2, Tel.: +353 (0) 1 4082568. Irish Citizens living abroad should contact their nearest Irish Embassy.

Ring the Department of Foreign Affairs (details in post above); I found them to be very helpful when it came to getting married abroad.
