Picked this up last night on fight radar 24 This RYR flight left Pisa before midnight but seemed to maintain an altitude of only 9,000. Call sign said it all. Not sure where it went but appeared to be heading north through France.

Maybe a positioning flight with a pressurisation problem?

Positioning flight with a pressurisation issue. Usual callsign for that.
