So whats the actual reason for withdrawal, the fact that no one uses it despite saying the do or that the buses continually get pelted with bottles and rocks by the local knackers?

Is it not just one bus stop not in use?

Worked with a few people from there. Sounded like a mad kip altogether. One of them was killed in 99, Keith Fortune r.i.p. He was a really nice guy if a little nuts!

That stop is the one at the halting site on the N11, nothing to do with the "Fassaroe Estate".

Some of them still do. There was a big thread on the vagaries of the 185 route on here a few months ago.

Found out its the turning point. Since the demise of the 'Imps', buses have been reversing on the mini roundabout to get a turn.

So there's two separate issues then ... the bus stop issue reported above, plus the removal of the part of the route that goes into the Fassaroe estate.

Isn't it illegal for a city bus to reverse without a second person to help, let alone on a roundabout?

Its been going on since the 'AD type' there.
Still happens at Killiney hill at times.

An incident between a car driver and bus driver, unions became involved and all out.
