    So,

With all the talk of Android 4.2 for the new Nexus models, does anyone have any information on the roll out of Android 4.2 in Ireland to existing Nexus owners?

No mention yet but it's worth keeping an eye on this XDA thread for any developments. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1962435

I'm restoring my stock image in preparation for 4.2. Hopefully the GNex will get the new 360 degree camera feature.

I've had 4.2 on the n7 and haven't noticed any difference.

Thanks - there are some really cool features there, in particular the multiple accounts and new photo capabilities.

I would say that is 4.1.2 you have. 4.2 was only announced yesterday.

It's just an update to JellyBean so any device that currently has JellyBean should get this.

The Nexus 7 has the 4.1.2 update and I believe Google have started this morning rolling it out to other Nexus devices.

I have yet to see an ETA on 4.2 for the Nexus 7.

I doubt it'll start rolling out until the new devices launch so 2 weeks

Sorry I didn't mean that it has started rolling out, just that it's an update to JellyBean rather than a new OS so current JellyBean devices should get the update.

What was the update so? 4.1.2?

I don't think I'm explaining it right, none of my phones got an update at all. 4.2 in itself is just an update to JellyBean, same as 4.1.2 was just an update to JellyBean.

Gesture typing... interesting to see how this compares to Swype and Swiftkey Flow

i dont see why not, after all the 7 will be getting the update too. The important thing to ask is where can i get an adapter ?

This is what I'm looking forward to the most. Swype's memory footprint has gotten completely out of hand. It's stealing already scarce memory from my old Galway S, resulting in browser crashes on media heavy sites.

Gonna be nearly a month between now and the first CM11 nightly, but I'm looking forward to it immensely.

any device that has the DLNA thuingy should be able to.. and you need a reciever or whatever on the tv ofcourse. you can be sure they wont be too cheap. most samsung smart tv's have it built in nowadays, so you can mirror your phone screen on it wirelessly.
    nice feature though indeed :)

Here's a link to the 4.2 keyboard if you don't want to wait. Apparently working well if you're running 4.0 +.
