Hi I don't know if this has been asked before but I am looking for some paint advice. I want to paint my fireplace surround and mantle piece white but i don't want to use a thick gloss that you will see brush strokes and then goes yellow. Is there a suitable non gloss paint that can take a bit of damage and is easily cleaned but has a nice finish. Can the effect of smooth ikea like shelves be replicated with paint, and if so how?

    cheers in advance
