I am new to cycling and really enjoying it but am trying to find a cycling club in the greystones area???
I have done a few cycles (wicklow 100/west wicklow) and a few more but would like to get fitter and improve my hill climbing.
All the clubs in the area that I can see seem to be for the "really fit" does anyone know where I could join that has a good group for beginners????

The obvious answer, and nearest club would be Bray Wheelers - here's a link to the upcoming beginners spins schedule. I assume you're talking about Bray though when you say the club in the area for the really fit - don't be put off. There's a pace in the club for everyone. There are both the beginners/fitness spins and also the touring group which does 100k at 27/28 average every Saturday and Sunday - all spins leaving from Kilmacanogue. There's also the active racing side of the club too if you fancy a piece of that at any stage. The Club league is fantastic with many ladies, juniors and veteran vets taking part. The handicap format mean that everyone stands a chance.

thanks for your post, its not just Bray that I was referring to, some clubs closer to Dublin seem to be the same, however that is just from the outside looking in!!!
The beginners schedule above seems like a nice comfortable ride (distance/speed) and ill have a look at the club as want to improve my times/fitness on some of the rides from last year and enjoy the fun a club can bring.
    Thanks again
