ta-events website is down but they have a thing in may, so I hear.

There's Berget of course, tickets are on sale this saturday.

I'd love a few more events with even a handful of players going myself actually, anything for the excuse for a good game.

Berget was the plan but wifey is expecting our baby in June next so that rules that out. So I've been looking to across the water to get my fix. After Berget earlier this year I've decided that a good milsim event or 2 is badly needed. May would be perfect, I'll keep an eye on their website. Cheers gerrowdat, you could very well be a life saver:)

Yes, somehow I don't think your wife would be impressed as she goes into labour to see you geared up with a plane ticket. It would spell imminent doom :P

From what I heard TA events won't be running as much this year due to Ian's new involvement with Berget.

I think next year I'll finally get around to checking it out - I think it's time I see what all the fuss is about, considering I've heard nothing but good about TA's previous events :)

Lol yeah, put it this way, it wouldn't be a return flight!

Just found the thread here for Ashes of War II, Copehill Downs, 3-5 May, sounds perfect.

Depends on how immersive you want your milsim to get.

There are a few folks doing offerings (of varying degrees) out there and will do next year: Brit-Tac (with whom I am affiliated as a marshal), Tier-One (who look very promising), TA-Events, and of course Stirling, to rattle a few names off the top of my head. There is another in N.Wales that I can't think of the name of right now too.

Then you have the likes of In-Country (Vietnam), or a couple of WW2 variants to choose from in any given year too.

This years Berget was my first proper taste of a Milsim event. Something as close to this would be ideal as I really loved every minute of it.

I do appreciate your input, thanks

Bear in mind that Berget does not bill itself as milsim (or did not at least in the two years I have been there), more an event that has "elements of milsim" incorporated. That a large number of those in attendance have some form of national and/or signed-up military service under their belt helps foster matters of course.

Most of the organiser names I mentioned above will give you an experience a step-up (IMO) in terms of milsim than what you may have experienced at Berget. I'm not ragging on Berget; it's awesome. But it's a different beast in some ways.
