    Hi,

I volunteer for a small community radio station and I was wondering on a low budget how i'd go about setting up a system that will detect when the station goes off air so to speak. Basically a few people here don't know the difference between dead air etc.

What I want it to do is bounce to the system and start playing music/liner/audio of any sort.

Anyone have any idea's on how I could achieve this?

Not knowing how "small" your budget is, have a look at these. It will get you moving anyway.

Describe the situation, what type of "dead air" are you trying to protect against (studio, transmitter or human failure).

How could somebody working in radio not know what dead air is?

Human Failure, cheers for the link.

Well they do know what dead air is but a lot of the volunteers are older so takes them longer to react.
