Went decoying with my brother's and father today got 4 pigeons and a crow could of had probably 12 if it wasn't for my gun misfiring and it was my 11 year old brothers first time shooting so we let him take the front seat he shot his first pigeon and hit two more. I'm a bit worried about the gun misfiring though with only two days to go to the 1st

    What exactly is happening.

The bottom barrel missfired 3 times with the same cartridge and once with two other cartridges it's putting a dent in them but the hammer isnt striking with enough power to set them off. It doesn't happen with every shot though

Definitely not the shells your using how old are they.

Did you try fire the same shell twice. Did you try it in the same barrel.

I know you shouldn't it's one of the first things you learn.

The shells were bought last week so I don't think it's them. Yea I thought it was the safest way of getting rid of the cartridge so I tried firing it again but it misfired twice so I had to fire it from the top barrel in the end

It still could be hard primers in the shells. Try another brand and see if it keeps happening!

Yea it's my first time using those shells so that could be it but a week or two ago it happened with one shot but we thought it might just be a bit of dirt or something but I cant remember what cartridges it happened with
