Derren Brown convinces a lad Asteroids have hit the British Isles and released a deadly virus that turns people into zombies.

Always been a fan of Derren but this show is like the icing on the cake. He goes to great lengths including hiring 250 actors and watching the guy for 4 weeks.

The poor guy looks petrified so far looking forward to next week.

Watched this last night, it was so damn good. So much work went into it

Can't wait for the finale next week!

    Poor chap

    Thought this was brilliant.

Can't believe the amount of effort they put in to convincing him something was going to happen, hacking his phone and everything.

Cant wait for the next episode. I wonder if he'll have to choose between reuniting with his family or helping the girl?

The paramedic lad is heading to Scotland but his family's headed to Wales. What will he do?

I cant believe the amount of effort they have put into conning the public into thinking this guy is anything more than an actor in on the whole thing. It is a really well produced show.

Browne is a great showman and fairplay to him he is the best at what he does but I simply dont believe any of this hypnosis rubbish. Its entertainment in the same way Professional Wrestling is entertainment.

I wonder if it was real and not staged, and the guy killed one of the 'infected', would he be able to plead a defence to murder?

I've researched a bit into the methods he uses along with reading his book and I believe he is genuine, the thing about people is that we follow predictable paths. Derren has been doing this work day in and day out on the road for decades now. You can even go off and do a course for learning the basic techniques involved.

I think given the amount of people involved it would be more difficult to keep the staged show secret.

Knowing that Derren has predicted what this guy will do and made allowances for him to act outside of his predictions means he'll keep everybody safe and not allow a really dangerous situation to occur.

I used to like watching his shows, then i seen the russian roulette one he did. Turned me right off him.

Might tune in and see what's up for this though. It's got zombies..

Well thought out zombies too, he went for the 3 day incubation period which is a bare minimum time needed for a virus to take hold.

Would there not be some legal issues involved? As in did he not basically kidnap this guy? (haven't watched it yet so don't know the story with it)

He gets people to sign up for a TV show, interviews a group of people, picks the person he thinks will be most susceptible then after they sign their lives away he tells them they didn't make it.

7 weeks later he begins to watch them for another four weeks. So they've pretty much forgotten about him at that stage but they have given him permission to make a TV show.

Murder needs intent, and in his own eyes at the time it could only have been self defence. So yes, He could have gone on a justifiable killing spree.

Yes its funny Derren goes to great lengths to show how silly it is to believe in mediums and the like, yet ironically after seeing this people believe Derren can do real magic because he says he uses psychology and suggestion :D

    Well done Derren impressive.

The shows do look very staged, especially the latest one which has nothing to do with zombies. It's hard to know if it's because it's actually staged or just the way it's edited.

Part one was a great build up but I think part two was a bit of a let down. Pity
