    They would need to so those folk that need an RF output for the like of Sky in other rooms would require it.

    Analogue would be optional.
    There is already a Saorview approved TV in Argos that allegedly has no analogue.

    It's like the bad old days when TV's bought up north didn't have VHF.


    Depending on the features you need, PVR + 'monitor' may be worth considering too. (make sure the PVR remote can control the volume etc, of the telly)


    Depending on when they are approved they may not even have T2 tuners. Not needed for now more for the distant future.

    Considering how many non-approved boxes were sold in recent years, it's a pretty safe bet that confusion and doubt will continue.
