trying to use old alba tv without remote, how do i get av manually

i have got this old alba tv that i would like to put permanantly on av, as at the mometn i dont have the remote for the thing, is there anything i can do to change that, as the old ariel is no good anyway is the analogue is gone, or can i have sky wired to come on on some other channell,

Normally if you have an active (switched on) device connected via SCART, the TV will automatically switch over to the AV port. This meant that when you started playing a tape on a VCR, the TV switched over to the AV port and similarly, when you switch on a Saorview set top box, the TV will switch over to the AV port. You shouldn't need the remote to do it.
