At least the IT is providing some sort of an effort. The official marathon website is pretty hopeless - 1319 and no results posted. Seems you have to be a participant to avail of of the live tracking. WTF?

I'd say it cause they have an agreement with the Indo of not releasing the results till they are printed in tomorrows paper.

Well I have tried to track a cousin of mine on it and found it next to impossible.

Then when I registered it wanted to charge $6.95 to allow you track runners who are not on their featured runners list.

    LINK:confused:
Did he cramp up after such a fast first half?
    Some improvement. :confused::confused:

a sub 70 half-marathon split (just ahead of Gary O'Hanlon) is pretty impressive! Pity he was moving too fast for the 10k mat.

Actually - his time would make sense if he started walking a couple of hours before the start, which he could have done and reached the 10k point before the timing started (although that doesn't explain how he registered a start time at 9:01).

Delighted to see Maria McCambridge doing extremely well today. Her time of 2.35.28 is a new PB I think!

After the selection controversy, it's fantastic to see her go out and show what she's made of. Her other half didn't do too badly either - 3:05 must be a new record for a marathon completed while pushing a child in a buggy. What a legend.

There were some great Irish times in general. Although to be honest, I think the lad on the left here was a little optimistic starting off with the kenyans...

See the bloke on the bottom left. I was watching on North Circular Road and he was just behind the 2:20 guys, still ahead of the guys who finished 2:30+.

    Check out his splits:

    That's how to pace a 3:07 marathon!

There were another couple of guys I noticed just behind him who ran similar but slightly better splits, finishing in 2:48.

If newbyrunner actually exists in the real world, that might be him!!! But I suspect we'll never know....

I shot some footage of today's Dublin City Marathon - mainly on Grand Canal Street, Fenian Street and just before the finish line on Merrion Square:

Most runners I filmed were running on between a 4 hour and 5 hour pace - very inspirational stuff TBH!

Whats the story with being able to see some of the videos from the race?

When i entered added the extra 5 euro option to have access to the videos.

On the marathon results page when you click on the video next to your name its opening a link that wants 19.95 euro???
