You always see old people in the post office in the mornings,

Is it possable that they dont only go there for their pension but to break notes for loose change so they can annoy the sh1yte out of busy retailers searching for the scraps.

Ive seen the same old people coming in day after day and they always seem to have loads of loose change. If they insist so much in finding 14 euros and 99 cent in 1s and 2cent coins then how do they have so much change every day.

well when people are old they walk around kinda bent over.

they see all the change on the path and pick it up.

That is why they are always trying to get rid of it.

They do it to annoy you.

Yeah, it's so annoying. With the technology we have today I just don't understand why old people don't just pay for their groceries with their NFC enabled smart phones.

Are you insinuating old people are too stupid to use smart phones?

Some day you will be old and young people will find you annoying.

You will also smell of staleness & wee.

He probably just means they can't afford them, y'know, what with the price of xboxes and converse and the latest iPad. Old people are all over that stuff.

A bit of respect! Before God said "Let there be light", Chuck Norris said "Let there be God."

When we're all asleep in our beds, gangs of old people roam the streets and break into vending machines, that's why they have lots of change in the mornings.

Maybe it's a throwback from the days when things could actually be bought with small coins. Also people had less money, were used to scraping together what coinage they had. Nowadays if I have twenty euro in collected copper coins I still think I'm broke

Old people don't a whole lot to do each day so they've the time to count out all their pennies, whereas younger people couldn't be arsed and throw them in jars at home.

Old people know the value of money- and have all the time they need.

I think you'll find that it's a hang over from when the government removed their LSD back in 1971.

Statement hot off the press from the Irish Association of Older People.

    Dear Boards.ie

We simply do not give a fuck what you think. This comes with age.

    Regards,

it slightly annoys me how old people rarely ever prepare for the cost of what they buy while in shops , they arrive at the counter and seem genuinly amazed when the cashier expects a specific amount of money , q the oldie rooting through the bottom of thier purse for ten minutes while im there knowing im going to be late for wherever im heading

I have always maintained that the world would be a better place if all retailers/services were split into two branches: one for old people and middle-aged women, and another for the rest of the population. There they would be free to spend 42 minutes getting a score from the ATM, blocking an whole supermarket aisle while looking for salt, or staring in bemusement at the bank teller when asked for their account number, while the rest of the world goes about their business in a more timely fashion.

Having change in their pockets stops them from blowing away when the wind blows. But sometimes the change is too heavy so they have to off load some..
