factory backup disc

    is creating a factory backup disc the same as creating a image? will it copy everything including files, password etc?

    No, it will create a drive image based on the factory restore partition, which is handy in case of a disk failure and you'll need to replace the hard disk (which of course will not have the restore partition). With the bootable DVD(s) you can then restore the the laptop to factory default as you most likely do not have an OS installation disk.
