Monitor only displays in safe mode

    My acer monitor was acting up the last week, it was not displaying the colours properly. Then tonight I moved it forward and now it will only display in safe mode. Can anyone help?

    maybe re-sit the graffic card?

    Could be resolution settings also.

    Have removed the ram and graphics card and put them back but still no joy. System restore and deleting the drivers ain't done anything either.

    The problem was with the VGA converter adapter attached to the graphics card in the back of the PC.

    Sure is and a quick google will show that it is common enough. I have ordered a new DVI cable to replace the VGA cable & VGA converter adapter which will give me a better picture on the monitor so it actually worked out for the better.
