    put up a woodcock this morning is it a bit early for them or do some stay all year round

    have met a few the last 2 weeks

    some say that they dont all migrate and some stay here all year round not sure if they do myself

    According to woodcockireland.Com there is a number of them that are residents all year round and from october the number of them increases as migratory woodcocks travel to

    I think the weather in scandinavia has gotten cold with snow in the last week so id say birds are travelling down now

    There should be a few birds around at the weekend alright with the full moon bringing them in. I came across one a couple of weeks ago which was very early for this area
