    Hello everyone,

I recently moved from the Netherlands to Dublin. I am looking for a job as a nanny. Will they give me a pps number if I work as a nanny in Dublin or everywhere in Ireland?

To get one you don't even need a job. You need a letter from your landlord says you are a resident at this address and his/her contact number. Also a bill with their name on and the house address or a bill address to you at that address.

Then you go to a local social welfare office I think or the best thing you can do is call revenue which is the Irish tax office

    Welcome to Ireland and boards.ie.

If you are employed, you will need a PPS number.

PPS numbers are allocated by the Department of Social Protection. http://www.citizensinformation.ie/en/social_welfare/irish_social_welfare_system/personal_public_service_number.html

It is likely that you will need the details of your equivalent number in The Netherlands and official ID.
