iphone ios upgrade on jail broken phone

I am wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to get an iphone 3gs upgraded to ios 4.3 or above if it has been jail broken . it is in perfect working order just when the software is upgraded the phone locks again there has to be away to get this done . You now need to have ios 4.3 or above for most apps Thanks
