    Hi all.
Was waiting for friends at the BOI atm just off shop street this afternoon (half 3 ish). Friends came back from machine saying they just seen a 50ish, grey haired well dressed man that was def a famous celeb. But they couldn't identify him. My head is wrecked trying to work it out. Any thoughts or ideas welcome. Sorry for the vague details...

That's what a good stalker would do...

Instead they came back and asked me. I was looking everywhere but the atm.

Brendan Gleeson was another thought but no joy...

That was me. My son and I were the only well-dressed guys in Shop Street yesterday and if the light was not right you they may have imagined that there were grey hairs. Had to get the suit and shirt out for the young fella’s graduation and was trying to melt into the background afterwards but it wasn’t easy.

Some knowledgeable folk tell me Martin Sheen is visiting Galway with his son Charlie Sheen and they are staying close to the burne.

The thing about Galway is that there are always celebrities dropping in on flying visits, seems to attract them somehow.

Maybe it was just a grey haired man with the aura of a star. I get similar remarks sometimes.

I hear that he is a scumbag and his 'celebrity' status is a damning indictment of society.

A well dressed male in Shop Street would certainly be conspicuous. Grunge is still considered to be the height of cool in Galway.

She finally worked it out. Once alcohol leaves the system, anything is possible... Def would never have guessed it myself.

OP - Galway gets its fair share of hollywood types and celebrities. The only difference is that nobody gives a curse about them - must be a west of ireland, Galway, attitude (which I quite like). People don't actually care which celebrity (loosely used) walks up and down the town. We've have plenty, we'll have plenty more. Maybe they come here because they don't get hassled. They're the same as everyone else at the end of the day. No biggie. Nobody cares.

Wait. Nothing about Zachary Quinto? He posted a picture of himself beside a Fleadh poster to instagram - and then uploaded a video where he retraces his old journey to work (Java's).
    Somebody must have met him...

Ah but everyone knows "50 something" as a description based on looks means they could be anywhere between 45-75 in reality. Sad but it's true.

Also, someone knows their celeb ages! :)

someone I know saw him at the fleadh tonight - he was producer for the 'surprise movie' and will be around for a day or two, apparently.

I was at the "surprise" film that turned out to be Robert Redford's "All is Lost", which Quinto produced. He came on stage to introduce it and mentioned that it had only been publicly screened once before at Cannes, so it was quite the coup for the Fleadh.

He'll be around for a screening and Q&A of "Margin Call" on Saturday and I believe he is doing an acting masterclass too.

Been a fan of him ever since his "Heroes" days. Seems like a nice guy and was obviously happy to be back in Galway after such a long time.
