Could bacteria produce silkworm silk and other animal textiles

    i know that bacteria have been engineered to produce spider silk but could the same be done for silkworm silk and other textiles such as wool.
    Im also aware that alge can replace cotten and other plant (as well as wood)based textiles.Furthermore vegetable oils and rubber can also be produced this way.
