I was at a friend's house near Letterkenny yesterday helping set up and scan in Saorview to a new tv and a Walker STB connected to a crt tv. He also has a Sky receiver without a sub for the fta uk channels, as Freeview is a non starter where he lives, used to get tv from a local deflector, analogue 3 x Irish, 4 x British channels, low power always poor quality.
Scanning through the analogue tuner on the crt tv for Sky (he uses magic eyes to other tvs) I came across BBC 1, BBC 2 and UTV on analogue transmissions, forgot to take note of which channels though, but I think the were around gp B area.
I figured someone must be using a freeview receiver(s) and modulating them for re-broadcast, Cunning.
