Are there any deals floating around like the old €40 Galaxy Mini one? I'm just looking for something small and light with GPS and a headphone jack to put in my pocket while running. Already have a Sensation but it's far too large / heavy / delicate to run with.

Samsung GT S5369 - €79.99 from vodafone shops - no idea of price elsewhere :)
And it pretty small and light for an android

extra info - only problem we have with it is that having bought it yesterday, today we find that we can't install current family safety software onto it as the processor is not 'compatible' (I'm assuming that means it's not man enough ???)

Vodafone Smart 2 is 49. Personally I think the low end Android phones are a bit of pain to use.

Well what I was talking about above makes me wonder if Vodafone are selling off old technology as their 'cheap' option, but then I could be doing them a disservice.

We shall see at the weekend when I go in and ask for a refund/exchange to better phone with suitable processor !!!!

Vodafone Smart 2 is too heavy (120 g), but thanks for the suggestion. The lightest Android phone I've found is the Sony Ericsson X10 Mini which is under 90 grams, hopefully I will get one on Adverts at some point.

The X10 Mini has dire battery life. A much better phone is the later ST15i Mini if you can find it cheap.

Looking at weight, the Samsung Galaxy Y is another option.

Nokia C5-00 with Nokia Sports Tracker?

Obviously. But perhaps its better than a cheap droid. ;)

I assume the purpose is to gain data on the run, and have a phone. Some of the Sports trackers on Nokia were pretty good. If painful to install. Where as someone the cheap ass droids are pretty painful to use all the time.

    Its another option tis all.

SE X8 is another option but its stuck on android on 2.1

ST15i Mini is a fast little phone - 1ghz proc. 99g. was on offer in 02. not sure if still is. great little phone really. must better than the real-low-end ones.

I had a mini ST15i and loved it. But mine kept overheating. (known fault) But even with that, I think it would be an excellent running phone. If you can pick it up cheap. Theres also a pro version with a keyboard.
