Well after the week's gap, they came back with one of the best episodes ever. I cannot believe the emotional impact they manage to get in to some episodes, and this one with MAJOR SPOILER
    Etta's death
has really set them up for the run to the series end.

    Amazing.

    Wow, did not expect that.

    Although I'm wondering if
at the last second the observer realised that if they came back for her once he could use her against them again and so saved her too

    Brilliant episode.

    Yeah fantastic episode!

    Really wasn't expecting that either.

They are kind of screwed without her!

    What's interesting is:
    • How Walters video said "You must accept the reversibility of all phenomenon"
    • They found some physics they couldn't yet understand - Indicating undiscovered possibilities.
    • The bullet that killed Olivia played a very key role in the episode - perhaps it symbolizes something more, even resurrection?
    • They really emphasized the power of Love. The observer was enthralled by it almost.
    • The symbol at the end of the show was the apple with Embryos instead of seeds. I know these have been decoded to letters in the past but perhaps the image alone indicates birth or rebirth.

I don't think this is the last we will see of Etta. But who knows if the next time she will be a child again or an adult?

This is probably the only show where reading into things like this is actually worthwhile, almost everything they do has some relevance! I really loved their use of previous Fringe events as weapons too!

    Etta :(

Way too soon to be killing her off. Otherwise, awesome episode.

Great episode. When all the little bits are put together, I'm thinking a total reset is inevitable. It's the only way they'll get Etta back.

Thought it was an excellent episode but not happy they killed Etta. Hope that she isn't really dead.

jesus surprised they done that, i wonder alright would the observer by any chance grabbed etta before he got out, and also broyles looks to be compromised,

i loved walters room of fringe artifacts, and everyone looking at astrid for an explanation:D:D

any chance a mod could add a poll

hmm pretty cheap emotional hit to kill her off to only to bring her back aswell

yeah true, but i wonder what will happen in the end, will the team beat the observers, then theyll somehow be sent back to live their lives free of the observers, and have etta back as a child,

I had been figuring that Walter's plan would involve a reset back to 2013ish and I think that Etta's death makes that inevitable. But it was still shocking that they killed her only 4 episodes in. I wonder how important she is though. September said that the observers erased Peter because Henry, his child with Fauxlivia, should never have existed. What does that mean for Etta's existence and death?

I also liked how this episode made reference to the alt-verse. Tbh, if I was them I'd be itching to look at the alt-verse and see what was happening there. If the observers only occupied out present then maybe the alternate Fringe team could be useful to Walter's plan. On the other hand with the bridge being closed for 30 years has the alternate universe continued to deteriorate? I really hope that we do get to see what's happening over there.

Very solid episode. I liked the throwback to the earlier seasons. Anna Torv was really great in that scene with Broyles. Etta's death was a real punch to the gut.

Very well done and I wasn't expecting that death already. The only indicator purely was the fact the actress was a "Guest Starring" rather than part of the main cast.

I'm also going with a reset for this.

Is the route to the Walterverse completely cut off still? Any chance we'll go back?

Brilliant episode, as i'm trying to catch up with all the episodes until Dec 7th.

If they're willing to lose what looked like an integral character close to the resistance, & brought them together to meet Broyles after all this time, they must have a good plan.

So it's up to them as it has always has been, as it will only make them more aware of the endgoal is to see civilisation back before the observers & maybe see Ella again, in some form.
As Walter has more often found a way or stumbled upon something whether he's eating liquorice or milking the cow.
