    2004 Almera, Is it fitted with a timing chain or belt. I'm not very mechanical minded and a friend only asked me was the belt changed.

    Chain if petrol, unsure if diesel.

    The petrols are fitted with a timing chain but models of that vintage have lots of issues with their chains especially if they were not serviced regularly with the correct grade of oil.
