The fact that both title belts have been kept around gives me hope that Aries may win it back here. Had it only been the ugly one, it'd be obvious Hardy was retaining.

Curious as to where Roode and Storm will be fitting in this month.

    Other matches I'm expecting:
    Tara vs ODB
    RVD vs Joey Ryan
Devon and Armbreaker vs Bully and Park

That leaves probably three matches. Storm, Roode and Joe?

Liking the triple threat for the no.1 contender but I HATE that stipulation. Devon vs Angle (sigh) is it hogan that must like the nondescript bore Devon?

I'm going to make a bold prediction that the loser of that three way will win next years BFG Series. And Devon and Angle are capable of a very good match.

D-Von and Kurt would be one of the matches that jumps out at me from that card actually.

Devon has improved big time in the past year or so. I dont mind him having a singles match against Angle.

Like Machismo said I think whoever loses will be main eventing BFG 2013. No clue who that will be, but I'm leaning towards Styles.

I'd guess Storm, I'd like AJ to win the three way. Despite some nice teases we've never had a proper Hardy/Styles match.

I'm sorry but Devon is shit. He was decent as a lower-card veteran working with the younger guys, but he belongs no where near the top of the card working a name like Angle He didn't belong there in 2000, and he certainly doesn't belong there now.

Seems very early in the Aries/Hardy feud to use the ladder gimmick as well, should have been saved for a blow-off match further down the line IMO.

Was loving TNA up till recently, but there has been a real lack of buzz around the product since BFG. Think a lot of fans are feeling burnt by the Aces and Eights reveal, and the way Aries' title reign and the Roode/Storm feud ended up working out.

Devon is far from shit, he's better than a hell of a lot of guys out there.

But that match he had with Sting a few weeks ago was by a distance the worst main event on Impact all year.

Is Storm or Styles turning heel?

Just realised their is only one more Impact before the show. A good chunk of the card could do with a few more weeks build imo.

Is it bad that I'd quite like all the titles to change hands?

Wont happen so in order of preference:
    Daniels and Kazarian
    Aries
    Ryan
    Magnus

Looks like a solid show on paper. Loved the hammer beat down on Impact so can only imagine what poor Joe Park is going to go through tonight.

Ladder match could be great too!

My brother and my dad (who's the furthest thing from a wrestling fan) are at this show tonight.

Wasn't that when Hardy was suspended/fired?

And do you think we'll see the return of Abyss? Or else just a couple of Abyss moves like the black hole slam he gave Bully? Or even help/attack from Bully?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,166 ✭✭✭Stereomaniac

    Bring back Abyss!

Some of the bumps Hardy took in that match were totally insane.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,478 ✭✭✭✭gnfnrhead

Cant find this on YouTube or anything yet. Is it worth watching? I know Hardy retains because one of the first results on YouTube was "JEFF HARDY RETAINS V AUSTIN ARIES IN BEST EVER LADDER MATCH!!!!!!!" Subtle. :/

Mixed tag and Park/Doc were good for what they were, Ryan/RVD and Angle/Devon were decent, tag title match was good, three way and Joe/Magnus were very good and the main event was totally nuts. Really solid 7/10 overall.

Is it go-out-of your way to see nuts?

Some of the bumps Hardy took were just completely crazy. One of TNA's best matches this year.

That's an indictment on TNA then. It was really dull and announcing dragged it down like a mother.

Coming off the super strong New Japan show Sunday morning I thought this was the pits.

Read a lot of buzz about this ladder match so I had a look at it there earlier. Kinda agree with rovert, it didn't do much for me at all. Couldn't really fault the effort and Hardy did some really stupid stuff as per usual but maybe the ladder match as a concept has kinda been worn out over the years. Its like people have exhausted everything you can do within the confines of a ladder and a belt hanging over the ring and it all just seemed kinda "meh" to me.:(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,965 ✭✭✭Cherry_Cola

I'm also of that opinion. Perhaps it was too hyped up for me before I got to see it. I enjoyed the fact he raised the belts though!

I still think there's life in the match type and I'm sure Steen & Generico will prove that point in a few weeks. I prefer team ladder matches these days, I only watched the one from Threemendous 3 a few days ago and it was great.

Watched this ppv earlier and enjoyed it. Devon vs Angle was dour though, who'd of guessed eh?
Magnus vs Joe was a real good opener. The X-Div match was just a ego boost for No Job Bob, felt the Joseph Park match was a wee bit dragged out. Enjoyed the Tag Match but i'm such a CD and Kaz mark they are immune from criticism. Triple threat was great and the winning Super Kick looked devastating. Main event was real good too and they both worked their asses off with wreckless spots the twist of faith up on the ladder looked class imo.

If only TNA could invest in some good quality ladders though
