Quick question about public holidays.

    I'm a student and work part time. For the public holidays I have worked I am paid at my basic rate. Am I entitled to an additional days holiday for each public holiday work in addition to my basic wage for that day?

    Thanks very much, I'm trying to calculate my holiday pay for the year.

    If you work the public holiday you are ment to get the equivilent of an additional days pay. Be it double time or a day off in liu.

    If you dont work the public holiday you are still entitled to one fifth of your normal working week as long as you have worked more than 40 hours in the previous five weeks.
